Gears of War 2 scheduled for November 2008
The basic gameplay of Gears will return in the sequel. The familiar sticky cover system will be back but slightly tweaked to make it harder to hit characters hiding behind stone walls. Many of the first game's weapons will return, and active reloads will be back with minor (undisclosed) alterations. As many Gears watchers predicted, chainsaw duels will now be part of the experience, and a smattering of new weapons will be included, too. There has also been mentions of poison grenades (oh, the multiplayer possibilities) and something called a Gorgon burst pistol.

Unreal Tournament 3 is finally making its way to the 360, scheduled for a june 2008 release.The Xbox 360 release will contain five new exclusive maps the other platforms didn't get, two new characters and will include two player splitscreen action.

The Xbox 360 pulled slightly ahead of the PlayStation 3 in sales last month, moving 262,000 units compared to the PS3's 257,000, according to data released today by the NPD group. Both systems were left in the dust however, by the ever-pwning Nintendo Wii, which sold a whopping 721,000 units, the highest single-month unit sales of any videogame platform outside the holiday season.

Classic side-scrolling gameplay is back with Bionic Commando Rearmed, a remake of the classic NES game. 20 years after the 8-bit classic was released, Bionic Commando Rearmed recreates the world of the original with a complete "2.5D" visual revamp. Bionic Commando Rearmed preserves the original's mix of swinging and shooting in an intense 2D side-scroller, all to the tune of a brand-new soundtrack based on the classic 8-bit music from the NES masterpiece.
It also features all-new modes such as the 2-player co-op play, smarter enemy AI, new bionic arm abilities, new weapons, bigger bosses and online rankings. Faithfully sticking to the original story, Bionic Commando Rearmed tells the story of Nathan "R.A.D." Spencer's first mission, sent in to retrieve captured agent Super Joe from the hands of the Imperials. Fans of the original story can expect to see all the characters from the NES version, as well as the memorable moments that made the title so popular with fans. also to be available for ps3, and pc. should be released May 14th.

Also: Midnight Club Los Angelos has been set for a release date of September 9th, also available on ps3, and psp.

Just seen this on walmart.com xbox 360 wireless controllers $39.98 haven't checked the store, and dont know when they came down to this but ... its about **** time. If anyone has looked at the store let me know!

GTA IV downloadable content exclusively for the Xbox 360 is delayed.
That content was supposed to arrive this fall, sometime between August and October. But GTA IV publisher Take-Two Interactive said it will be pushed back to early 2009...bummer.

There is rumor of a possible iphone style dashboard coming out for 360. The rumor is that Microsoft will soon announce an iPhone like dashboard update that would allow gamers to navigate menu items using motion, much like the fictional interface seen in Minority Report.
The statement is the second time that Microsoft has declined comment on its now-delayed, though still incoming Xbox 360 Spring Update.

In May, the company denied that a "motion sensor" would be coming to 360, after an alleged feature list that suggested that surfaced on the internet. But if Microsoft does go motion sensor(everyone else already is why not?) then they could do a neat dashboard such as what is rumored....stay tuned lol

On sunday Microsoft will be making another price cut to the XBox 360. From $349 down to $299. The cut is designed to boost sales in the face of increasing Sony PlayStation 3 sales. Rumors of the cut have been circulating for weeks, but this is the first confirmation of the pending price-drop by a major news outlet.(The Wall Street Journal)
The article also quotes UBS Securities analyst Ben Schachter as saying, "For the back half of this year, a lot of people, myself included, think Sony has a better lineup of exclusive titles. Sony clearly has more momentum."
The price cut announcement lines up nicely with E3, which kicks off on Monday with a Microsoft press conference.
